Pinecrest was designed by renowned golf course architect Rocky Roquemore, marking his inaugural foray into the South Carolina Lowcountry. Roquemore boasts a remarkable portfolio, having co-designed three of Disney World’s iconic courses (the Magnolia Course, the Buena Vista Course, and the Palm Course) and having held the role of golf course architect for Chicago’s Cog Hill for an impressive 26 years. Signature Holes:

  • Hole 3:  A challenging dogleg left with a narrow fairway lined by tall pines.  A well-placed bunker on the right side of the fairway demands precision off the tee. Favor the left side of the fairway to set up a clear approach shot to a slightly elevated green guarded by water on the right.

  • Hole 7:  A long, winding par 5 that rewards both distance and accuracy.  A picturesque pond runs along the entire left side of the fairway and fronting the green.  Aim for the center of the fairway off the tee to avoid the water hazard and set up a strategic layup for a manageable approach shot to the green.

  • Hole 12: A visually stunning par 3 over water.  Pay close attention to wind conditions and choose your club wisely to ensure you don't come up short.
