At Callawassie Island Club, members can immerse themselves in a golf experience across three distinct nines: the Dogwood, Magnolia, and Palmetto Courses. Each course offers its own unique set of challenges and showcases the stunning natural beauty of Callawassie island.
The Dogwood Course is enveloped in the island’s natural splendor, including scenic marsh vistas and abundant wildlife. It provides a serene yet stimulating setting and offers a compelling mix of holes that will test all aspects of your game. The greens are elevated and well-protected, with some featuring severe drop-offs, making precise putting and speed control critical.
Signature Hole – Hole 5 : A standout hole that demands accuracy on a par-3 with a green perched on an elevated position. Surrounded by natural marshland, this hole challenges players to manage severe drop-offs and master their putting speed to avoid costly mistakes.
The Magnolia Course is the longest of Callawassie Island’s three nines, offering a more extensive and demanding experience. This course emphasizes the importance of accurate approach shots and strategic play. Players must make the most of every skill, from long, precise drives to well-calculated second shots and accurate play on the par 3s. Navigating the Magnolia requires a blend of distance and precision.
Signature Hole –Hole 8 : A formidable par-4 that challenges players with a long, accurate drive and a precise approach shot to an elevated green. The hole requires strategic placement and careful consideration of hazards to secure a strong finish.
The Palmetto Course spans 3,443 yards and is notable for its strategic placement of ponds, which come into play on seven of its holes. Success on the Palmetto Course demands conservative course management and precise positioning. The well-placed water hazards add a layer of complexity, making accurate shots and a deft putting stroke essential for navigating the course effectively.
Each of Callawassie Island Club’s courses offers a unique blend of beauty and challenge, ensuring that every round is both enjoyable and demanding.
